New Gym Flooring is a Hit, thanks to an amazing £36,000 Grant from the Inclusive Communities Fund – a legacy of the Commonwealth Games

Heart Care’s amazing £36,000 grant from the Inclusive Communities Fund has enabled us to refurbish the flooring in our gym. This has brought significant improvements to our centre, which serves as a lifeline for many in our community.

For over 20 years, our gym's carpet flooring endured countless steps as patients rehabilitated from heart, lung, and other long-term health conditions. However, it had begun to wear out, posing maintenance, safety, and hygiene concerns. Thanks to the new professional gym flooring funded by this grant, our facility now offers a safer, more comfortable, and modern space for our patients to exercise and socialise.

The transformation has been met with delight from both patients and staff. The specialist flooring offers a safer and more supportive environment, enhancing the overall exercise experience for our patients. Our staff are thrilled to see how the upgraded facilities are motivating patients to stay active and confident in their fitness journey.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Inclusive Communities Fund for recognising the importance of our work and providing this vital support. The new flooring will undoubtedly make a long-lasting difference, benefiting thousands of heart and lung disease patients for years to come.

On behalf of everyone at Heart Care, thank you for helping us continue to provide the very best rehabilitation and aftercare services to our patients.
